This policy explains what information Kottke Law ("we") collects through kottkelaw.com and how we use it.

Information you send us

When you use the consultation form or email us, we receive the information you provide: your name, email address, phone number, the topic you select and your message. We use it only to respond to you, check for conflicts of interest and, if you become a client, to represent you.

Form submissions are delivered to our firm email account. The website server does not store them.

Spam protection

The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated spam. Turnstile may process technical information such as your IP address and browser details. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Website logs and fonts

Like most websites, our server keeps short-term technical logs (such as IP address, pages requested and browser type) for security and troubleshooting. Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads. We do not use advertising cookies or sell personal information.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate (such as email and hosting providers), or when required by law.

Your choices and California rights

You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to our legal and professional obligations to keep certain records. Email ralph@kottkelaw.com.

Contacting us through this website does not create an attorney-client relationship. Please do not send confidential information until we have confirmed that we can represent you.
